Decorum: noun. The dignified propriety of behavior, speech, dress, etc.
Dickorum: The not-so dignified propriety of behavior, speech, dress for (and between) SOME gay men.
Dickorum is being the sponge for all those graphic things heterosexuals suddenly tell you upon finding out you are gay—mostly sexual things (wanting a same-sex experience, a ménage without their partner, sex toys made out of office supplies or Sesame Street hand puppets) that they’d never share with their straight friends. Dickorum is pretending to be shocked by all their details, saying, “Oh no you didn’t!” in all the right places. And urging them to be brave enough to be who they are sexually.
Just face it: Dickorum is accepting the responsibility of helping others attain your level of sexual sophistication and openness. Even if you’re just a prude mama’s boy at heart.
