Artist Statement: Witnessing the effects of the r̶e̶c̶o̶l̶o̶n̶i̶z̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ gentrification of Miami’s under-served communities; I adopt a realist approach to document commercial buildings which will soon be replaced by new development – chronicling the loss of a community’s cultural, social, and economic fabric.
